Tips To Organize Kids Toys And Baby Toys
Most kids can often be careless while playing and can leave their toys strewn all around once they have had finished playing. As parents or guardians, we are often at our tether’s end explaining to them that such behavior is unacceptable and our explanation to them is that it leaves the place looking untidy and out of order.
However kids couldn’t care less and more often than not the suggestion only falls on deaf ears. Threatening with dire consequences may force them into organizing their toys but these aren’t healthy parenting methods and in the long run they often don’t work. Therefore it is better to devise strategies whereby the child will willingly de-clutter his toys and arrange them properly.
Children are poor organizers and it is for this reason that you should give him only a select number of toys to play with at a time. It is best that you let them play with few while keeping the others in different places where they can’t be accessed easily.
Each week, let your child trade with the baby toys which are kept in the storage provided that they keeps the one that they have properly organized. This gives him or her incentive to keep their toys neatly stacked. Using storage containers is the best way to store kids toys because these can be stacked on the floors and be easily accessed.
If your kid isn’t using his old toys anymore, try dumping them or else giving it to someone. There is no point keeping unused toys unless it from the sentimental point of view. Sorting toys is another par way to improve the organizational skills of your child. Keeping separate boxes for different toys such as cars, puzzles, props, etc will let the child know what exactly needs to be stored in which container unlike storing in a single, large box where children often tend to dump their toys haphazardly.
More importantly, it is necessary to instill in children the value of the toys that they possess. Insist on buying new toys, only if they take proper care of the ones at their disposal. Though difficult, try ingraining in them the fact that the toys they have cost good money and therefore it is necessary that they took good care them. This logic works with most children though there are quite a few who wouldn’t care less but trying on such a path won’t do any harm.
Remember this, shout and spanking the child may be the first thing which comes to your mind when you see the kid’s room looking like a bomb explosion site but don’t give in to instincts. Often patience and appreciation is the key in spurring children to keep their room clean and tidy.
