How do you stop an infant from knocking himself in the head with toys?
my almost 5 mo. old son fiercely shakes all his toys around and hits himself in the head and face, then cries. Yes they are totally age appropriate- and Soft Toys he is not interested in. how do you stop this?
he even does it with his little plastic baby keychain! what toys can i give him if he hates stuffed animals…?!
I’d sure like to know! Short of taking away all plastic “hard” toys I don’t think there IS much you can do. My son does this at times too but it’s getting better. He’s 7 months old and has seemed to have gotten better control of his hands. At 5 months, though, he was ALL over the place with toys. I almost wanted to shout “Duck and cover!” when he was playing.
